Rebecca Grant holiday collection is being presented at a special gathering and fundraiser in honor of the children of the harmony project. The children’s orchestra will perform holiday songs, this December 1st at a private home of a philanthropist.

Harmony Project is an award-winning research-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that targets at-risk youth in underserved areas of Los Angeles. They promote positive youth development through year-round music lessons and ensemble participation.

Harmony Project is an award-winning research-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that targets at-risk youth in underserved areas of Los Angeles. We promote positive youth development through year-round music lessons and ensemble participation.

Harmony Project currently maintains numerous full-time youth orchestras, and works to develop youth music ensembles throughout LA’s low-income neighborhoods. On November 4th, 2009, in a White House ceremony, Dr. Martin accepted the Coming Up Taller Award from First Lady Michele Obama, on behalf of Harmony Project. Administered by the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities in association with the National Endowment for the Arts, Coming Up Taller is the nation’s highest honor for an arts-based youth program. Harmony Project was the only California program to receive the award in 2009.

Harmony Project Founder Dr. Margaret Martin is working with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association (through the LA Phil’s ‘Youth Orchestra Los Angeles’ initiative) and researchers from Northwestern University and the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Beyond the Bell (after-school) Branch to document the impact of music education and youth orchestra participation on disadvantaged youth. Dr. Margaret has worked in low-income communities as an educator and community organizer for more than 30 years. She is a passionate proponent of arts education and its capacity to transform the lives of children with few resources, along with the neighborhoods in which they live, and she works to seed music programs for at-risk youth in other communities.
They led me to research linking early-sustained music learning to improvements in math, language, cognition, brain development and behavior – the basis for Harmony Project.

On June 6th, 2012 in Beverly Hills, California at the prestigious Montage Hotel, Rebecca Grant had her second Fashion Show of her very young career.

Rebecca said: “I could not have even been a part of the fashion show and charity event, without thanking a few very special people.”

In case you have never been part of a fashion show, and/or produced a show, let me tell you that it is not only an all day and all night event, but their is absolutely no resting until the event is over. While Rebecca Grant’s fashion show was only a small part in this extravagant event, it still required every bit of energy.

Some of the motivation that drove me, was that the event was for such an important and worthwhile cause, and something I am very passionate about.

By the end of the night, I was able to increase my brand awareness, sell some dresses and swimsuits and meet so many wonderful people.

well the top secret fashion show is no longer a secret, as it is happening today (June 6, 2012)

Rebecca Grant has been working really hard on her new line of swimsuits, in addition to her exquisite fashion line of women’s clothing.
Her last minute addition to the high society philanthropists of Beverly Hills, California and her collaboration with Richard Bowman and Xavier Otho of XR Collection, made the fashion show presence of Rebecca Grant hush hush until now.
