“This is a wonderful honor to be named one of the hottest women to have worked with ESPN“

, said rebecca grant.

Rebecca Grant who has a high sports IQ and ia a real sports enthusiast, was a most valuable sports caster to ESPN, and was not only seen on ESPN for her football knowledge and good looks, but was also seen on shows relating to racing, soccer, billiards and the outdoor world of off-road trucking.

Rebecca Grant has also worked with FOX sports and the Outdoor Channel, and continues to use her high IQ for sports knowledge.

While she loves American football, its not the only sport that interests her.

When Amber Lee’s suprisingly added Rebecca Grant to the Bleacher Report’s 50 all time ESPN hotties, Grant found out when thousands of new fans started looking her up on google, coming to her website, and a new high interest began for the extremeley beautiful and talented actress with a high sports IQ.

At first, Grant was not excited with Amber Lee’s remarks about her wanting to be known as an actress, but the benefits of being placed on the list, outweigh any negative comment that Amber could make.

Rebecca Grant discovers Mona Lisa while helping fight for Diabetes

Today 5/28/2011,  Rebecca Grant participated in a charity event for the American Diabetes Association at K1 Speed Go Kart racing in the Los Angeles area.

The event included performances by two beautiful twin girls that turned out to be the singing duo Mona Lisa. I was actually blown away at how talented the twin girls are and instantly became their biggest fan. You have to LIKE their fan page.

Also at the event was NFL active and retired players, TV and Movie stars. The event was held . Here some photos of me at the event

afc vs. nfc for the 2011 superbowl

NFC vs. AFC Superbowl Preview. What teams have the best chance?

mark-sanchez

mark-sanchez

Well, Championship Weekend is upon us. And – while I’m excited, I
need to say that the Divisional Playoff round is my favorite week of
the NFL season? Why – because you can spend 12 hours watching
football! Four games, and eight good teams. Well, this year maybe seven good teams. LOVE the divisional round.

So – let’s take a look at what we have coming up…

In the early game – we have an old school divisional matchup with the
Bears and the Packers. The Packers have gone through four straight weeks of must win games against foes like the Giants, the Eagles, the
Falcons, and yes – the Bears. The Bears are coming off basically the
easiest road ever to a championship game – a home victory against the
7-9 Seahawks.

One thing working in the Packers favor – after playing on a short week
last week, they had an extra prep day this week. And – when it gets
to the playoffs, every extra day of rest is an advantage.

On the field, let’s start with the field itself. The playing surface
at the new Soldier field is no bueno. Limited both in traction, and
apparently rock hard, especially around the sidelines. Scary moment
last week with Seahawks TE John Carlson – hopefully we won’t have any
repeat of that this week. The Packers are obviously more of a speed
and intricate passing game team than the Bears, so the sloppy track
could help the Bears.

One area the Packers have struggled this season is in kick coverage.
Eric Weems burned them for a 102 yard kick off return last week, and
now they need to deal with Devin Hester. They managed to bottle him
up in the final game of the regular season, but that’s definitely
something to keep an eye on.

To the offenses – the Packers have been showing so many different
offensive looks including their version of the wishbone with 3 backs
in the backfield. An offensive look that may have seen some action in
the Bears/Packers playoff game of 1941. And Aaron Rodgers has been
showing the full repetoire. Running, passing, escaping the rush. And
his trademark accuracy… Simply uncanny. He’s also figured out the
way to cure James Jones’ drops… Don’t throw him easy passes…
Make him make the spectacular catch and he’s fine.

The Bears offense has also looked good of late. I don’t know if
anyone expected two Cutler rushing TD’s last week, but he has also shown that he’s a pretty athletic guy. He will still force a ball once in a
while. The turning point of last weeks game with the Seahawks was
Jordan Babineaux not being able to hold onto what could have been a
100 yard pick 6. A pass that Cutler never should have thrown. The
Packers secondary have shown that when they get those opportunities
they convert.

This could be a close game, but I have to go with the Packers to win.
Let’s say, 31 – 20.

One note about the FOX coverage of the NFC. I love the addition of
former Overlord of Officials Mike Perreira to the booth. That guy is
never wrong. Love his analysis.

On to the AFC… The Steelers and the Jets. These two teams met one
short month ago, with the Jets prevailing in Pittsburgh 22 – 17.

Rex Ryan has been oddly quiet this week. Here’s my take… Lots of
people think Rex is just a loudmouth, and loves to hear himself in the
media. I disagree… I think he’s a lot sharper than that. He knew
last week that he and his team could get in the Pats’ head. Plus,
they needed to talk themselves into thinking they had a chance after
the way the Patriots dismantled them in their previous contest. With
their game upcoming against the Steelers, having beat them last month
quiet confidence might be the way to go. PLUS – the Pats don’t have
notorious headhunters like James Harrison and Hines Ward. That’s
right – Hines Ward. He might be a wide receiver but he’s definitely
one of the more feared players in the league.

To me the story line is going to be whether the Steelers have enough
healthy O-linemen to compete. They are just broken down! And the
league wants to go to an 18 game schedule? Based on the Steelers
health this week, and watching the Saints try to compete in the
playoffs with their 7th string running back, I just don’t think the
move to an 18 game schedule is a wise one.

Back to the game on the field… The Jets defense did a tremendous
job against the Pats. They do have a challenge this week that the
Pats didn’t present. Mike Wallace is the best vertical threat in the
AFC. And while the Jets secondary showed that they can dominate
action near the line of scrimmage, if Wallace can get behind them he
can be a game breaker. That said – if Big Ben isn’t getting any
protection, he’s not going to have the time to throw the deep ball.

Meanwhile, the Jets receiving corps have been showing off lately. Santonio Holmes makes the prettiest most artistic touchdown
catches. I think he should be nicknamed Black Swan. For his ballet
moves! (Love that movie. OMG). And Braylon Edwards is living up to
his potential.

Call me crazy, but I see both road teams prevailing this week. Jets 21 – Steelers 16

AFC Divisional Playoff Matchups – Ravens vs. Steelers (my picks and review by Rebecca Grant)

AFC Playoff Matchups – Ravens vs. Steelers (my picks and review by Rebecca Grant)

This week:

Ravens vs. Pittsburgh

Can the Ravens win against a healthy Pittsburgh team on the Steelers home field?

ben-roethlisberger

ben-roethlisberger

OFFENSE

Heinz stadium has been cooking up the perfect recipe for disaster for any visiting team. A healthy Ben Roethlisberger, will be serving a serious can of woop ass with offensive weapons like Hines Ward, Antwaan Randle and Mike Wallace.

Ground game weapon Mendenhall, Rashard has come through with over 1,000 rushing yards this year.

DEFENSE

However, the secret ingredient is a strong and healthy  Troy Polamalu on defense.

PAY BACK FOR A BROKEN NOSE

Last time these two teams met, the Ravens were responsible for big Ben’s broken nose. That does not sit well with Steeler fans, nor does it sit well for a team that wants payback. Look for all hell to break loose.

I just love watching these two teams play each other, because you can always count on them to show up!

I’m picking the Steelers.

Seahawks Secret Weapons | Pete Carroll and home field advantage

drew-brees-super-bowl-champion-upset

drew-brees-super-bowl-champion-upset

The Seattle Seahawks had a few secret weapons that helped them win the wild card game against the defending super bowl champions  New Orleans Saints. But if you think about it, the secret weapons were not so secret, and the Saints should have been more prepared. Obviously, the Saints underestimated the coaching abilities of Pete Carroll, as well as the ear bleeding noise level of the Seattle home field, and my former Buffalo Bill Marshawn Lynch.

1. Pete Carroll (coach – Seattle Seahawks)

pete_carroll_coach_seahawks

pete_carroll_coach_seahawks

Having a winning former college coach, who does exactly what he was paid to do, win games when they matter most.

2. Home field advantage (Noise Level)

home-field-advantage-seahawks

home-field-advantage-seahawks

The underestimated home field advantage. With noise this loud, played an enormous role in helping the home team Seahawks, stifle and dumbfound the reigning super bowl champions, into false starts and humiliating them into sad sack losers.

3. Marshawn Lynch

marshawn-lynch

marshawn-lynch

In my esquire magazine interview, I picked the Seahawks to win, because I knew my former Buffalo Bill Marshawn Lynch was going to have a HUGE game! (Saints 28th ranked defense in the NFL had no chance against the Beast Marshawn Lynch )

4. The First Time a division leading losing team, made it this far.

While Seahawk haters keep complaining about the losing record, and more deserving teams that should have gone to the wild card game, they are now all eating crow. The upset that was never supposed to happen, just happened.

nfc west

nfc west

“If a team wins a division they deserve to be there!”

I also love an underdog and not knowing the potential of a team that was not supposed to be there, could actually do the unthinkable.

5. Saints looked to far ahead

Because nobody really expected the Seahawks to win, I believe the Saints possibly psyched themselves out of winning the game, and were already thinking to far ahead of themselves to the NFC divisional game.

Next week  Seattle takes on Chicago in the NFC divisional playoff game.  Another team they already beat in the regular season.  Should be a GREAT game!

NFL Playoff Preview: Rebecca Grant Dishes on Esquire Magazine

Sports Reporter Rebecca Grant discusses her NFL playoff picture with Foster Kamer in Esquire Magazine.

Esquire magazine will follow Rebecca for an entire month, starting with this weeks wildcard’s, next weeks division championship and then on to the Super Bowl. With Rebecca’s intelligent analysis of each team in the playoffs, she was amongst the top NFL sports reporters to be asked about her thoughts during the NFL playoffs.

Rebecca could not believe that Foster used every bit of her interview for the Esquire Magazine story, including her side jokes about Colts quarterback Peyton Manning and the very good looking and inexperienced New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez. In the next interview, Rebecca plans to give more of her own style of analogies, that have made her so unique and sought after for her NFL analysis and interviews of the NFL’s biggest super stars.

Monday Night Football sexy predictions for new orleans vs. atlanta falcons

A romantic Monday night for me is dimming the lights and firing up the plasma. I get so excited thinking about this weeks matchup while I prepare my Geogia peach pie.  While Atlanta is known for their southern hospitality, there will be none for their gentlemen visitors from New Orleans on this Monday Night Football.

Matt-Ryan

Matt-Ryan

The Falcons are my pick! I really dont know how a 12-2 team is under the radar, but they are! They’ve lost ONCE with Matty Ice as thir QB and have maybe the best WR in the league in Roddy White.  They can really run the ball with Turner and he’s been worth every pretty penny!  Veteran leaders on both sides of the ball with Tony Gonzalez on offence and Mike Peterson on defense will make it tough to fly through Atlanta unscathed.

Next weeks NFL picks (Week 17) by Rebecca Grant (sexy football fan)

A hot game in week 17 will be Green Bay vs Chicago.
bears-chicago-rivalry-nfl

bears-chicago-rivalry-nfl

After watching Aaron Rodgers and company get it done over the New York Giants, I’m feeling there a bit unstoppable. The Packers have been considered to be one of the Suber Bowl favorites before their slew of injuries, but QB Rodgers had some laser vision today!
aaron-rodgers

aaron-rodgers

Chicago having clinched a division title and home filed advantage will be playing for that luxurious bye.  This game not only has major playoff implications but its the biggest and oldest rivalry in the NFL.
I’m digging the Packers on this one yet its tough to forget the Bears comeback victory in week three.

NFL Football games cancelled due to snow storm

nfl-snow-storm-blizzard

nfl-snow-storm-blizzard

Sunday Night Football canceled?? WTF?? Last I checked, December games are played in the snow. Would Buffalo, Chicago or Green Bay ever call off a game because there was to much snow? That’s what parkas and chili dogs are for. All I can say is, I am missing my Sunday night football fix!

rescheduled-snow-storm-nfl-game

rescheduled-snow-storm-nfl-game

Let’s get real, Michael Vick with his outstanding athleticism would have melted all Lincoln Financial Field’s snowy woes away.  Will the snow ref be man enough to let Tuesday nights game happen or if he’ll foreclose on that snowy night too?

Snow – I’m cheering for snow.  I like a good snow game.

NFL Sunday Games Recap and Analysis

Greenbay Vs. Philadelphia (Wild Card Game)

Greenbay The Eagles almost pulled this game off with a nail biter finish. However, Greenbay just out played them. In the mid season, Vick and company were unbeleviable but 33 seconds on the board with a chance to win, Vick throws an interception.  An end to a great season but a very bright and prosperous future.

The momentum began early, as Aaron Rodgers and company went to work and controlled the game while flexing their muscles. Green bay has been my superbowl  pick since the beginning of the season, and they continued to keep me looking like a genius.  The unfortunate and costly injuries to Greenbay, like the loss of their offensive running game, that balanced the air game with the ground game Ryan Grant turned out not to be so horrible. When something bad happens, something good usually follows ie: James Stark who finally had the chance to shine.

With this Buffalo freight train known as James Stark, a sixth round draft pick, coming off the bench to start and show what he can do,  I truly believe the Green bay Packers could go all the way.  I really loved watching this hometown hotty as he  sliced and diced to the left and the right with 123 yards with 23 carries.

starks

James Starks

James Starx is my MVP (a graduate of NYU Buffalo)

But can Green Bay Packers go into Atlanta and win a game away?

Baltimore Vs. Kansas City

Baltimore Ravens dominated the entire game, while Kansas City is a very young team. Experience was the difference, and a pretty dominating defense was key to the Ravens win.
